Room tax is a voluntary financial contribution that our member hotels request from their guests during their stay in the city, and is a source of income for Convention Bureaus throughout the world.

With this contribution, our institution is able to facilitate training and capacity building, develop projects to promote the destination by bringing events to the city, produce promotional materials, participate in trade shows directed toward the MICE sector, prospect business for our associated members, and maintain our office.

This contribution is calculated per room and per night and differs according to the hotel category. It varies between R$ 2.00 and R$ 4.00 per day and is charged to guests on a voluntary basis.
